TOURS & PRICES

The safety equipment is easy to put on and take off during the day and is warm and comfortable. During extended breaks, you are free to remove all your safety equipment, leave it with your riders, take in the sights, take a café break or eat lunch all in your own everyday clothing and footwear.

Ladies, it is worth noting that wearing of the helmets may have an adverse effect on your hairstyle! However, either bring your own hat to wear during breaks, or feel free to purchase one of our stylish Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours caps to solve this temporary problem.

Luggage

The BMW motorcycles are equipped with external secure and waterproof side panniers and a large top mounted box that doubles as a pillion backrest, all of which allow the carriage of personal items. Each passenger will be allocated a pannier for storage of their personal effects during the tour – such as a small backpack, handbag, a light jacket or fleece, camera and any other small items required during the day or a limited amount of overnight luggage. Your normal footwear will also be stored in your designated pannier whilst wearing the mandatory motorcycle boots.

It is important that care is taken whilst handling your helmets to maintain their integrity. Helmets must never be placed on the ground or balanced precariously on unstable objects as they can be knocked over and cause damage to the outer composite shell. It is recommended that when you remove your helmet it is handed to either of the motorcycle riders for safe keeping.

Video and photography

It is only natural to want to record such an enjoyable day for you to share with friends and family when you return home. Should you wish to pass this responsibility over to your riders then they will take both digital photographs and digital video of your adventures throughout the tour using our own high quality cameras. Obviously you are more than welcome to use your own cameras to take photographs and video during the tour – and we are happy to assist you!

For a nominal fee, which includes postage and package, all photographs and video footage from the tour will then be used to produce a DVD. This DVD can be mailed to either your home address or your hotel if you are holidaying in Melbourne. We will retain a duplicate of your tour DVD so should yours ever get damaged or lost in the future -  simply call us or send an e-mail requesting a replacement copy. Please note that DVD copies will not be distributed to any other third party by your tour operators.

It is important to note that we reserve the right to use any footage captured during a tour for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish this to be the case, please advise us prior to commencement of the tour.

Safety Equipment

It is a safety and legal requirement that all passengers wear all of the safety equipment provided. This equipment also provides significant weather protection as it is completely waterproof and features removable thermal liners. Please refer to “Safety Equipment” and "Sizing Chart" for details on the equipment supplied, the size ranges available and the measurements required for the correct fitting of all items of safety equipment.

Normal light clothing can comfortably be worn underneath this equipment – we recommend casual wear to ensure maximum comfort. The ideal clothing is lightweight cotton or synthetic tops and shirts, and lightweight cotton or synthetic trousers. Items such denim jeans, heavyweight tracksuit bottoms and thick pullovers are difficult and uncomfortable to wear underneath the motorcycle jacket and trousers.
