This region to the northeast of Melbourne features pristine forest surrounded by rolling farmland. It is very close to the pumping heart of Melbourne yet the winding tree-lined roads feel a million miles away from civilisation. The only clues to the proximity to Melbourne being the occasional views of the CBD through breaks in forest.

Nestled in this forested shire are small townships and rural properties where the locals enjoy the unique country lifestyle of this region yet have easy access to one of the world's great cities.

This tour takes in the leafy outer suburbs of eastern Melbourne, the northern edge of the world-renowned Yarra Valley, pleasant winding roads of the Kinglake National Park region and beyond through the Goulburn Valley region. We take in sights such as the Yarra Valley wineries, beautiful forest and rolling hills with breathtaking vistas.

We enjoy a great coffee on the edge of the Yarra Valley with lunch in the heart of North-Central Victoria before returning to the city in the afternoon.

The Great Ocean Road is arguably one of the best known regions in Australia and it certainly lives up to its reputation as a man-made wonder through natural splendour. This region is incredibly popular with locals and international tourists alike, particularly during the summer months, but can be enjoyed at any time of year.

The road winds its way right along the coastal edge in many places through scenic holiday hamlets nestled between ocean and hillside. The forested national parks and farmland run right up to the roadside and never fails to instill wonder in every visitor.

We enjoy a pleasant morning tea stop at the start of the Ocean Road and lunch in Apollo Bay. This is a tour of contrasts taking in the absolutely spectacular Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay, traversing the forested hills through the Great Otway National Park before heading inland through the beautiful open farming country of Western Victoria on the return to Melbourne.
