This tour takes in the quiet farmland just north of the city and on through the beautiful Kinglake National Park to the northeast of Melbourne.
On leaving the CBD, we ride along the Eastern Freeway and then through the beautiful the outer wooded suburban area of the Warrandyte region, Christmas Hills and skirt the northern edge of the Yarra Valley. We stop for a refreshment break at a very pleasant cafe in Yarra Glen before carrying

on up into the heart of the national park. Riding along beautiful winding roads, peaceful old-growth forest and farmland we are no more than 50km from the CBD as the crow flies yet it seems that we are a million miles away from the bustle of the city.
On the return to Melbourne, we descend from the National Park into open farmland to the north of the city just off the Tullamarine Freeway. The quiet roads on which we travel on leaving the Kinglake park region make for very pleasant riding and give no indication that we are still so close to the city. The final leg of the journey sees us join the Tullamarine Freeway, passing Melbourne International Airport before travelling along CityLink with stunning CBD views as we return to the city centre and your hotel accommodation or the designated meeting point.

This region to the north of Melbourne is one of central Victoria’s best kept secrets as far as many Melburnians are concerned. It is within an hour’s easy reach of the CBD yet is relatively quiet year-round from a tourist’s perspective.
It features the spectacular forested Macedon Ranges with stunning vistas from the summit of Mt Macedon. This tour takes in the stunning and varied countryside of this region with the first stop

being at the summit of Mt Macedon.
The ride to the summit up the southern side of the mount passes through stunning woodland featuring many deciduous and native flora, making it particularly beautiful during the spring and autumn months. Arriving at the summit is literally a world away from the city yet easily within 90 minutes of the CBD. A short walk to the Memorial Cross reveals a breathtaking view south across farmland and forest parks towards the city and even the coastline on a very clear day.
From the summit we ride a gentle descent down the northern side of the ranges and through wooded farmland which then sees us arriving in the small country town of Lancefield for the rest stop - be it morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea depending on the time of day.
After the rest stop, we continue through the tranquil countryside north of the Macedon Ranges and around Hanging Rock before the return to Melbourne with some great views of the CBD on the last leg of the journey before returning you to the designated meeting point or your CBD accommodation.
