Riding Equipment Hygiene
All of our riding equipment, including the helmets, feature removable and washable liners. After each and every tour, all liners are removed and laundered prior to re-use. Helmet Safety
It is important that care is taken whilst handling your helmets to maintain their integrity. Helmets must never be placed on the ground or balanced precariously on unstable objects as they can be knocked over and cause damage to the outer composite shell. It is recommended that when you remove your helmet it is handed to either of the motorcycle riders for safe keeping. ![]() ![]() What to wear on the day of your tour
Normal light clothing can comfortably be worn underneath this equipment – we recommend casual wear to ensure maximum comfort. The ideal clothing is lightweight cotton or synthetic tops and shirts, and lightweight cotton or synthetic trousers.
The riding equipment is easy to put on and take off during the day and is warm and comfortable. During extended breaks, you are free to remove all your safety equipment, leave it with your riders, take in the sights, take a café break or eat lunch all in your own everyday clothing and footwear.
Ladies, it is worth noting that wearing of the helmets may have an adverse effect on your hairstyle! However, either bring your own hat to wear during breaks, or feel free to purchase one of our stylish Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours caps to solve this temporary problem. It is a safety and legal requirement that all passengers wear all of the riding equipment, from helmet to boots, provided by Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours. This equipment also provides significant weather protection as it is completely waterproof and features removable thermal liners. The purpose of the sizing chart and why you need to provide body measurements
The body measurements that you provide as part of your tour booking ensure that we bring the correctly sized riding equipment for you to wear whilst on tour.
There is only sufficient storage space on each motorcycle to bring one complete set of riding equipment to the meeting point for your tour. Therefore, provision of the accurate measurements by you is essential as a tour cannot proceed if any items of equipment do not fit you correctly.

Each passenger will be allocated a pannier for storage of their personal effects during the tour – such as a small backpack, handbag, a light jacket or fleece, camera and any other small items required during the day or a limited amount of overnight luggage. Your normal footwear will also be stored in your designated pannier whilst wearing the mandatory motorcycle boots.
