CUSTOM TOURS

We are able to organise all manner of custom tours from a minimum of a half day’s duration. This includes:

 

• Victorian State tours to destinations not included in any of our scheduled tours

 

• One-way tours to Victorian or interstate destinations departing from any location within Australia – such as travel to conferences, holiday destinations or activities

 

• Return tours to Victorian or interstate destinations departing from any location within Australia – including drop-off at your travel destination and pick-up and return to your departure location at a later date

 

• Tours including other activities such as hot air ballooning, visits to tourism attractions or other tourist activities

 

Should you have your own preferred destinations in Victoria that are not included in any of our scheduled tours, or if you wish to travel to interstate destinations, then please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Custom tours prices

 

Custom tours prices are subject to the specific requirements and duration of the proposed tour. As a general rule, prices are based on the scheduled tours rates with additional costs based on excess luggage transfers and one-way travel costs as applicable.

 

Vicmoto can organise the courier transport of any excess luggage to your destination which cannot be carried on the motorcycles. The fee for this service will be passed onto the customer at the courier cost price.

Itinerary Recommendations

 

We do have some recommendations regarding planning your itinerary to ensure that your trip is an enjoyable experience: 

 

• The distance traveled in any one day should ideally not exceed 400km.
  • This ensures a leisurely start to the day and that adequate rest periods can be incorporated into each day for your safety, comfort and enjoyment. Travelling on a motorcycle by its very nature is more fatiguing than car travel.
  • This ensures arrival at your overnight accommodation (if applicable) during daylight hours to spend time relaxing and showering, maybe watch TV or take a sightseeing stroll followed by a relaxing drink somewhere before dinner.

 

• The proposed route can be provided by the customer or it can be planned by Vicmoto.
  • Where possible, Vicmoto aims to create a varied and interesting route taking in the beautiful sights by deviating from the major highways as time permits.

 

• The scheduling of refreshment breaks and lunch is an important and enjoyable part of touring.
  • Any recommendations or requests of refreshment stops can easily be incorporated into the tour.

 

Custom Tours prices are based on the rates as outlined in 'Half Day Tours', ‘One Day Tours’ and ‘Two Day Tours’, excluding any additional costs such as meals, accommodation and courier charges for excess luggage tranfers. Please also refer to ‘Tours & Prices’ pages as these highlight the basic routines of a typical day regarding meeting points, start times, rest stops during each day, and overall length of each day.

Custom Tours Example

 

One Way Trip from Adelaide to Melbourne (business people returning from a conference)

taken to Adelaide on the motorcycles.

 

The conference ended early on the Friday morning and the passengers were then met at their hotel by the Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours riders who were fully rested after their previous day’s journey from Melbourne.

 

The passengers then loaded their overnight effects onto the motorcycles and dressed in the safety equipment ready for the return to Melbourne over two days by road. The bulk of the passenger’s luggage that they required for their week spent in Adelaide was taken back to Melbourne by air by their colleagues who also attended the conference. Had this not been possible their luggage could have been couriered back to their home addresses in Melbourne.

 

The journey back to Melbourne took a day and half with an overnight stop on the Friday in Robe on the South Australian coast. The passengers were returned to their home addresses early on the Saturday evening after a thoroughly enjoyable ride through some spectacular scenery in both South Australia and Victoria.

GUIDED MOTORCYCLE TOURS & LUXURY PASSENGER TOURS  

      

     

Melbourne-based business people took a one-way flight to Adelaide on a Sunday evening to attend a week-long conference at a business centre in Adelaide with the intention of returning to Melbourne with Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours after the conference.

 

Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours traveled to Adelaide on the following Thursday via the most direct route from Melbourne to ensure the journey was completed in one day. The passengers had submitted their body measurements as per the Sizing Chart to Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours at the time of booking  their return journey so that the correctly sized passengers’ safety equipment was
