Licensing
Both motorcycle riders hold ‘Restricted Hire-Motorcycle’ licenses that are issued by the Victorian Taxi Directorate (VTD). These licenses are regularly re-issued subject to the following criteria being continually satisfied:
Both riders have extensive motorcycling and driving experience totalling a combined 42 years in various countries. Each rider is first aid qualified, and carry a first aid kit as a matter of routine should a customer require any care whilst not travelling on the motorcycles.
Vehicle Registration and Roadworthiness
Both motorcycles are registered with the Victorian Taxi Directorate (VTD) and are issued with special license plates, known as S-plates, designating them as vehicles used for commercial hire purposes.
The motorcycles are subjected to regular roadworthiness inspections to ensure they meet the high standards of the tour operators, and also the requirements specified for commercial hire vehicles.
Legal Liability
Vicmoto Motorcycle Tours has Public Liability insurance, which provides legal liability to third parties for personal injury and property damage with an indemnity of AU$10,000,000.

The company directors and motorcycle riders, Steven and Martin Craig, have toured extensively around Victoria and south-eastern Australia and have developed a range of tours that showcase the best of what this part of the world has to offer. Mission Statement “To provide a safe, professional, customer focused and value for money experience” Our aim is to provide customers with a very unique way of touring through the beautiful country of Australia from Melbourne, one of the world’s most livable cities. Australia has a wealth of excellent roads and an ideal year-round climate for motorcycling, a combination ideally suited to the best that BMW Motorrad has to offer.
